Photography is not just my profession. It is most importantly my life-long hobby and my passion.
I first picked up a camera on my honeymoon, fascinated by the camera but drawn by what I was able to capture. It is the joy, the happiness, and the memories that stayed with me after the trip that made me realize I wanted to continue shooting. I photographed everything around me – food, flowers, water, buildings, cars, people, and everything else I found. I took my camera out wherever I went, shot whatever I could, and all I read was photography books and magazines before bed. However, nothing satisfied me more than being able to do what I do now – preserving precious memories and capturing life stories as they unfold.
I take each and every single one of my assignments personally, always doing my best. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than seeing my clients smile as they look at their wedding pictures that I deliver.
I don’t like putting couples in uncomfortable or stiff poses during my engagement sessions and make them look like somebody else. Instead, I show them how to look better and employ a directing approach to guide them to display their own character and to show their chemistry. The result – uniquely casual, natural shots of your own personality.
With a better understanding of how I work and the confidence built upon the e-session, I’m able to work my way in the background on the wedding day to really capture the event from a fresh perspective. These wedding pictures will allow you to recollect the bits and pieces of the happiness of your wedding day for a lifetime.
I employ an unobtrusive style of shooting, and I mean unobtrusive – I avoid crossing the center aisle during the ceremony; I avoid standing within 3 feet in front of the couple during the entire wedding day; I avoid standing or walking in front of the guests during the ceremony, toasts, nor do I block the view of any guests when they’re supposed to be enjoying the day; and when I have to station between the guests and you, I always kneel to avoid blocking their views. My knees are often banged up because of that, but I don’t mind that at all because I truly believe that it is you and your guests who are more important than the photographer being in the heart of the action. And… I have fun doing all that while I capture the essence of the wedding! =)
